FIRST:The check engine light comes on after about 10 miles..

Then the remote starter: quit working... next day..

Then the turn signals: Work VERY slowly. Blinking every 5 seconds or so.....

Then the ABS light came on....

Then the battery light comes on; then goes out...

Sounds like you are having a charging problem.
(The ABS computer will freak out if the voltage gets too low.)

Pull the engine codes and get back to us.

This Reply is in to the response YOU sent me... This Question and Answer is posted on your Web Page: question: 1993 Pontiac Grand Am Quad 4. How do you remove the alternator? We've removed two bolts & the serpentine belt, but it remains un-budge able. Clearly there's another bolt - but where? We've searched high and low, including useless groping by hand, to no avail. The repair manual we bought simply says "remove retainer bolts" which is like saying: to get to New York, get in car and drive. Help! Otherwise, we'll have to use the A-10 Warthog and just blast away.... Answer: We would look at the replacement alternator to see where the bolt holes are to give you an idea on where to look on the one you are removing. YOU did not understand what was being asked - WE know where the holes are on the alternator being removed - WHAT is enluding us is WHERE and HOW do you RELEASE the TENSION on the belt as to be able to install the new alternator - THER MUST BE A THIRD OR ANOTHER BOLT TO LOOSEN IN ORDER TO ADJUST the alternator... WHERE IS IT??
