I have a 95 grand am and sometimes when I go get in the car I will turn the key and nothing happens all the lights work but when I turn the key nothing. Then if I get out and hit on something that is right by the hood latch by the radiator and it starts sometimes. I get so angry I am ready to get rid of it. That thing has wires that go to the battery and the starter, I don't know what it is though. Any advice.

Well, it sounds like you have some loose wiring, you'll need to have someone check the wires from the battery to the alternator and then to the starter. Also try to start your car in neutral and see if it starts. Let me know

It is Omron 12177235 and on the bottom there is a number also it is D0359, I don't even know what the name of this part is called.
