What year engines would be compatible with the transmission to this car. It is a 4 cylinder and it needs to be replaced.

All 4 cylinder engies for the pontiac have same bolt pattern. If you need an engine I have a 1997 grand am with 2.3 with 68,000 original miles perfect shape. Needs water pump. Car has lost title and I can not do anything with car. Its a shame to because car gets 28 mpg, and is in perfect shape. If you want or need engine or trans all you have to do is post here. Car needs to go, and local body shop wants the body.
