Car wont go over 20 mph what could be the problem we have changed the cat converter

Check fuel pressure with mechanical gauge, then spark with spark tester. Have ign. Module tested at most autoparts stores. Another possibility is crank sensor, coolant temp sensor etc.
Do you have a check engine light on? If so retrieve codes and post them.

If you rule out the engine as problem, then transmission may be problem. It is best to have trans. Checked at shop, some are offering free diagnosis.
