how do you replace the heater core and where is the don thing

In the engine compartment just follow the heater hoses it will lead you straight to it-but you have to go from the inside to get to it-

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT Negative battery cable. Drain cooling system. Raise vehicle. Drain tube from heater case. Heater hoses from heater core. Lower vehicle. Console (if equipped). Right and left sound insulators. Steering column opening filler. Floor air outlet duct. Heater core cover. Heater core mounting clamps and remove heater core.
