I just got my car back from being in the shop for other problems it was having and just today as I was driving I came to a hard stop and practically put the brake to the floor and next thing I know the car died and had a little hard time getting it to go again. I can turn it over just fine but when I put the car into gear each time it died. Eventually I was able to get it moving without it dying. I think it has something to do with me braking too hard casuing the engine to die out. What do you think?

Yea, I know what you mean, I had the same problem.
I have a 94, and had it in the garage like three times and they could not figure out what would cause it to do that. I have figured out a way to keep it from stalling out. What I do is, if possible, let the car slow down on its own. If I do that the car doesn't die. Also, I don't know if it is linked, but I just had the head gasket, timing chain, and water pump replaced. It ran me close to two grand, So you may want to keep a close eye on your engine coolant and oil levels. The mechaninc told me that it was an internal leak. I hope that this info helps you. Good luck.
