1991 Pontiac Grand Am Key stuck

Drove to Church, came home, car would not turn off.
key stuck in on position.
had to disconnect battery and alternator to stop engine.
can start if hook battery and alt back up, but have to disconnect all to turn off.
can't remove cylinder to replace while in this position.
HELP!

I had the same problem, I have a custom shifter, and the shifter was not on all the way, and it would not put the car all the way in park so I couldnt shut it off, tighten some loose parts see if that helps!
