The brake lights on my car are staying on all the time and shutting off when I actually brake. Ideas?

You have a poor ground connection. Check the brake lamp switch wiring, below driver side dash mounted on brake pedal arm.

The brake lights on my pontiac g6 won't go off. They are on continously? Every now and then they will go out when you press the brakes?

THere is a switch at the top of the brake pedal. Check to make sure it is not sticking or out of adjustment.

Let me know what you find.
