Hello,

My car is a two door coupe. Earlier this evening I ran into a friends house for about 45 minutes came out and my car wouldn't start, nothing but click, click, click...completely dead. I was able to jump start and while charging I noticed there were few weird things going on, my lights would come on then go off, my check engine light came on briefly just a lot of not normal things. After charging for about 3 to 5 minutes I was able to start my car again. Everything worked fine. However, when I got out of my vehicle that's when I noticed an issue. My windows by default will roll down slightly (probably a 1/2 to an inch) when ever I am exiting the vehicle and then when the door shuts they will roll up. I noticed now that when I open the door they roll down about half way and when the door shuts they do not roll back up completely. Can I reset this somehow so they are behaving normally again? Any suggestions as to how to fix or if you know what is going on I'd greatly appreciate any input you could give.

Hello

Thanks for the donation

There is actually nothing wrong with your vehicle's windows at all. This is a feature for the 2006 G6 and when you replaced the battery the vehicle's computer was reset which put all of the settings to default. I have exhausted all of my availabe resources and I could not dig up the procedures for programming this. However, I am certain a call to your local Pontiac dealer will give you the knowledge needed to program the auto window feature you have. If you need further assistance just let me know.

to add to bluelights answer here is the info you are looking for.Close the door.
Raise the window by pulling the power window switch up.
Hold the window switch up for two seconds after the window is closed. Release the switch. Then hold the switch up again for two seconds.
Lower the window all the way down. Hold the switch down for two seconds.
Repeat the procedure for each window, including the rear quarter windows on convertible models, until all windows are initialized.
