Fuel gauge

1997 pontiac firebird 6 cyl.76,000. Fuel gauge won't work. Replaced fuel sending unit and gauges. Is there anything else to check. PLEASE HELP

At the bottom of the main forum page is a link to Mitchell1. Go to wiring diagrams and find th esender wire. Test with an Ohm meter for continuity, there might be a break in the wire

It always reads 3/4 except when you fill it then it moves toward full a little bit

I'm far from a wiring pro, and Jack probably has the right answer, but I have received bad sending units that did that.
