my firebird just started loosing oil pressure only when i come to a stop or when idling, i changed the oil cause i have had a problem with the fram brand filters( which i had on it) collapsing and thus the reason for the dropping. after changing the oil pressure went up i drove it for about 30 minutes then it stated doing the same thing, after parking it for a few hours it ran fine again for about another 30 minutes. im thinking it may have some junk that may be getting sucked up in the pickup tube but not sure and dont really want to tear into it without a second opinion, i dont think it is the oil sending unit cause it does run ruff when the pressure starts dropping, as usuall the pressure will go back up as soon as it givne throttle, what is you suggestion?

when unplugging the wire ther is oil in it, the black plastic of the switch is loose from the bottom end that screws into the motor is this probable cause to assume the switch is bad, i dont have a way of testing it
