My firebird has the OBD 2 16 pin hook up but it has the OBD 1 setup. An OBD2 scan tool wont read it even though the cable hooks up to it, Is there an OBD1 tool with a cable conversion. My 92 sunbird had to original obd 1 connector 8 pin, where they made the jumper plug in for I believe pin 6 and 7 to make the engine light to flash the codes, is there a pin connection on this style of connector or 12 pin?? away to hook up a analog meter to check the needle sweeps for the codes like a 1995 ford taurus? please help.
