1995 Formula firebird, when you put the key in ignition switch bell rings, turn the key on bell goes off no dash lights, no nothing. Engine won't crank. nothing that usually works by switch works. Headlights work. Just parked it one day, went to start the next and had this problem.

Hello, red wire at the switch, hot all the time. Yellow wire at the switch is a feed wire for starter circuit, should be hot, key in the crank position.

I just had the same problem with my 1997 firebird. It just died when I was driving, no power whatsoever when the key is turned forward, but the horn and lights still work. I replaced the ignition switch which is located on the steering column under the dash(it wasnt an easy task). That still didnt solve the problem, still no power. If you come up with a solution could you please let me know osrclint74@hotmail.com Thank You.
