Engine Performance problem
1986 Pontiac Firebird V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic
i have a 1986 trans am 305 engine 8 cylinder. my check engine light comes on when i start the car the idle will not come down. when i go to put my car in reverse it clanks like it is going to die out sometimes it does. then if i put it in park it seems like it wants to move .very rarely i go start it up the check engine light comes on at start up ,then i will hear a click my car idle will be normal and the check engine light will go off . the car will shake when the idle is high and will not drop the idle down. also my gas guage is not working on my car it stays on e constantly it does not move at all
