I have a 1996 Pontiac Bonneville SE 3800 V6 w/ 124k miles. The reserve well is full with an anti-freeze
water mix. I previously poured anti-freeze into the
radiator when it was cooled off and it took almost a gallon of antifreeze. I also noticed that the reserve in the well has not gone down. thnks

The 20.00 rebuild, was most likely just the bendix drive portion. If you can, if you're keeping the car, buy NEW!

There may be a restriction from the reservior hose to the radiator. The bigger concern is the low coolant in the rad. The 3800 are comon for bad intake manifolds. IS there any sign of coolant burning or coolant in the oil?
