The gas gauge is no longer accurate. After the gas tank is filled, the gas gauge stays on full for at least 100 miles, then it starts to move toward 1/2 and then randomally moves from 1/2 to full. Is this an electric sensor that has malfunctioned and what can be done to replace the sensor?

Thanks.

Your vehicle uses a fuel level sending unit which is on the top of the fuel tank. Remove the spare tire and carpeting/trim from the rear compartment area and you will find an access panel to the top of the fuel tank.
