Engine Performance problem
1995 Pontiac Bonneville 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

Hey Guys I have a 95 bonneville with a 3800 series 2 engine. When the car is cold it starts up great and runs good, but when the car is warm it will start and sputter for 3-5 seconds and then wont start again. If you then release the fuel pressure from the valve on fuel rail and key the pump a couple times it will start right up and run great.I just bought a fuel pressure tester this morning and with key on im only getting 28-30 psi, when running getting 42-44 psi and when pulling off vac hose on fuel pressure regulator it jumps to 48-50 psi.I am assuming fuel pump but was just hoping for your advice first. Thank-you Jeff

Driving me crazy! Have not tried releasing the pressure in the rail though... Until there is an answer, I'll have to try that. I've been told everything from FPR to the sensor behind the harmonic balancer.I'm leaning toward the leaking fuel rail or FPR. Anciously awaiting an answer!
