The engine suddenly dies unexpectedly while driving. This happens randomly maybe once or twice a week. Some times it will start right up the first time, other times it takes several attempts and some times it has to sit for a few minuets. All the electrical stuff still works after it dies, the dashboard lights, head lights, radio etc. I did a search on google and found this same problem has happened to other people with the same year make and modle with some of them replacing the fuel pumps, computers and other items (shot gunning) that they thought might have been the problem. None of them have reportedly worked. One even left the car for there dealer mechanic to just drive for a while to see if he could figure it out and he couldn't even find the problem. No fault code in the computer, at least none that it is reporting.

It sounds like a fuel pump.

Here is a how to for checking it. You will need a fuel pressure gauge. Most parts stores will lend or rent them to you.

Let me know what you find.
