MY BROTHER AND I REPLACED MY TRANNY, WHEN WE GOT FINISHED WE STARTED THE CAR AND IT RUNS ROUGH. IT THROWS A TROUBLE CODE QDM. ALSO THE VOLTMETER GAUGE READS LOW (ABOUT 10V) SO WE REPLACED THE ALTERNATOR AND HAD IT TESTED AND THE OLD ALTERNATOR WAS BAD. WE ALSO HAD THE STARTER TESTED AND ITS FINE. HOWEVER WHEN WE PUT THE NEW ALTERNATOR ON IT STILL RUNS THE SAME. MY BROTHER SAID THE COMPUTER INDICATED THERE WAS LOW VOLTAGE TO THE PCM. ALSO THE COOLING FAN AND AC DO NOT WORK NOW WE HAVEN'T MESSED WITH ANY OF THOSE SYSTEMS.

Hi there,

have a good look around the engine , especially the in let manifold, sometime when a transmission is removed the engine hanging low on the mounts can disconnect a vacuum line or a loom plug, it may be something you have not touched. Get the engine running then worry about the electrical issues.
