Brakes problem
1992 Pontiac Bonneville Engine Size unknown Four Wheel Drive Automatic 20000 miles

I was driving and my brakes just went out so I put it in park and look to see and I had no brake fluid so I put some in it and started the car up and pushed the brake and it reacted like it was supposed to so then I put the car in reverse with my foot on brake and then it did it again my foot went down with no force and the car wouldent stop again I got out and looked and under the car in the middle closer to the driver and back door it was spilling out and then it stoped and I press the brakes again and see where it is coming from the conector that the 2 metal poles go to. Know I had someone try take it off and put a new one but my carr has been sitting a long time and yes it is rusted down there only no where else so he could not get it off so what do I do also my emergincy brakes have a string tied on it from the e brake peddle to the latch to releace it like the last person who had it di that so no one puts the e brake on help help help

IF the part you are refoering to is not coming apart, then lines will also need to be replaced. That is part of the problem with older cars, rust and setting periods.

You may need a shop to do the work as it is much easier and realistic doing the job with the car in the air. Should get that emergency brake fixed also.
