Engine Mechanical problem
1988 Pontiac Bonneville 6 cyl Automatic 184000 miles

I have a 88 bonneville it was running fine,i come home and parked it went out the next morning and it would not start. The battery was dead,i charged it and it wont start.I changed the crank sensor because that went last time,it still will not start. There is lots of spark, and there is fuel coming up to the rails , could it be the cam sensor? Also does it have a timing chain and where is it located.
Thanks

HI:
If you are getting good spark, the cam sensor should be fine. Has the check engine light come on? Have you checked fuel pump pressure? Have you checked the for a pulse to the injectors?

Also, your car has a timing chain. Here is a picture of the chain and the timing marks.

Les:
If you have spark and fuel, the only things left are timing and compression. Let me know what you find with the timing. If it's good, then we need to check the compression.

Let me know what you find.
