I have a weird sound coming from the passenger side of my engine, it overheated once, and I found it must be losing antifreeze. I had to refill the antifreeze in short time frame. I am wondering if it likely a water pump problem or if not, what?

The waterpump is on the passanger side, so there is a good chance that is the problem. There is a weep hole on the underside of the pump. THat is where it will leak if bad. Also, a bad pump will make noise. Check the weep hole for evidence of a leak.

Let me know what you find.
