1988 6000 le won't start

1988 Pontiact 6000le with 100,000kms on it,the car just died on me the other day so i got it towed to a shop.got back there in the morning and it started and the mechanic said it was fine.i tried starting it again the next day and nothing and now it's been five days..the fuel makes nose and is fine,new spark plugs and wires,my borhter is somewaht mechanilly inclined and figures its not getting spark after he did a test..

if its not getting spark then i would check the distributor cap and rotor and see if theres no excessive carbon buildup. if those are good have the ignition coil tested.

if i'm wrong correct me but there is no cap and rotator in that year and model..2.8l v6 pontiact 6000 le...i was going to change them but it didn't happen..

where would the coil b and how do i test it
