1988 Pontiact 6000le with 100,000kms on it, the car just died on me the other day so I got it towed to a shop. Got back there in the morning and it started and the mechanic said it was fine.I tried starting it again the next day and nothing and now it's been five days. The fuel makes nose and is fine, new spark plugs and wires, my borhter is somewaht mechanilly inclined and figures its not getting spark after he did a test.

any suggestions out there would be awesome thanks in advance, you can email me to if you want

If its not getting spark then I would check the distributor cap and rotor and see if theres no excessive carbon buildup. If those are good have the ignition coil tested.
