Front Springs

I have a 1998 Plymouth Grand Voyager with 94000 miles 3.3L engine. After fighting a torx bit, I finally got the front strut/spring assembly out and replaced, but I neglected to look at or mark the orientation of the spring within the unit. I replaced it with a one piece preassembled unit. Needless to say my alignment is way off. The old pieces were disposed of already. Is there anywhere I can find out how the springs should be aligned other than looking under another similar van? I will still need an alignment, but at least the set-up will be right and easier to align properly.

Yes usually there is a flat spot on the mount. Look up in the well and see were the flat spot was. Or check the other side! And position the "bulge" towards the outside, or tire.
