Engine problem
2000 Plymouth Voyager V6 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 96000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
Hi all,

My car has been hesitating (with inreasing severity)when I accelerate, and then the other evening the engine light came on, so I took the car to the garage (not the dealer)

The mechanic said that 2 sensors needed to be replaced, and that it would cost $420. I agreed, and they replaced the sensors.

Then they called back and said that the problem was not fixed, and that the flywheel was bent and needed to be replaced. They said that the transmission needed to be removed in order to replace the flywheel and that this would add another $500 to the cost of the repair.

Based on this information, I am looking for a new car, but I thought that I would ask some experts and see if my mechanic is giving me good advice. As you may be able to tell, I'm pretty ignorant about car repairs!

Thanks for any help and advice,

Carl

See if you can get the codes, or what sensors were changed it didn't need! Codes and parts changed please...
