62,000 miles Transmission problems. Started happening when I drained as much fluid as I can from unscrewing the pan then filled 3 quarts of Mobil ATf +3 fluid about a month later approximately 600 miles it felt like it started slipping at about 40mph and especially up hill. Got worse very quickly started doing it off the light and in reverse/ Ii took it to a specialist they listened to what I did and said they added some friction modifier $79 that seemed to make the problem better for about 100 miles, but then the problem came back, they suggested a transmission flush and service $259 done at the Dealer I barely made it our of the parking lot. The car can still get around it shifts and shudders but keeps going. Am I out of options? Just drive it till it can no longer go?

Well when you drain only that amount of fluid, you leave about half the total in the torque converter. So it's already dirty again. But if changing the fluid led to all this the tranny should be serviced.

The problem is still happening usually anywhere from 0 - 40 mph, but sometime I can take a 20 mile trip and its great like nothing ever happened and other times it starts to spudder and jerk shift that I have to pull over. Another thing I noticed is that when it does this shifting and jerking, it looses all power, I can floor the thing and it does not accelerate. The engine light goes on or blinks and clears after I drive around a little. So I was thinking could there something be going on in the computer? Should I have the codes checked?

Took the car to midas after a thorough check they found that my plugs needed to be changes, the valve cover gasket and the O-rings were also replaced. 2002 Plymouth voyager runs like a dream!
