Engine Performance problem
1999 Plymouth Voyager 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

Our 1999 Plymouth Voyager just started backfiring while being driven. It happens when we accelerate. We replaced the ignition coil, but it still does it. What else can we do to fix this problem?

I had that problem and it was the cam sensor. It didnt throw a code but it was sending wrong info or something. Spent 40 bucks on a new sensor. Problem was fixed. But I have been told it could be time for new timing chain.
