Van was running good no transmission problems until suddenly while driving there was a kind of jerking n a slight noise as though something were falling off the underneath(engine area possibly). and the van lost power (pressing on the gas pedal didn't cause it 2 accelerate however it still was running, If the car was restarted it would give full power again however only for a short time before it went back to very low power. Also it won't go into reverse but works in all other gears. What possibly could be causing this? It does have full transmission fluid level. thank-you.

Hi there,

This may be an electrical problem with in the transmission, best to first get a scan this will show up any unresolved fault codes for the engine & transmission, this is always the first place to start any diagnosis with a problem like this.
