Transmission problem
1998 Plymouth Voyager 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

when my voyager turn on overdrive the check enginme come on and doesnt come off the overdrive, I have to turn the car off and wait for about five minute then turn the car on and the light come off and the trans work ok. What it could be?

Hi:
It could be a speed sensor going bad. But since the check engine light is coming on, there should be a code set in the computer to identify the problem. If you take it to a nationally recognized parts store, they will most likely scan it for free and identify the problem. Let me know what you find or if you have other questions.
