97 Plymouth Voyager ran fine and started not to crank right away over the last week. It has a new battery and full tank of gas.

It cranks fine but it won't turn over. Displayed no symptoms before a few days ago and once it started it showed no problems. Even the starting problem was not every day over the past few days. Some days it started without incident. Today after filling it with gas, I started it and it choked as soon as I put it in gear. Earlier that day had no problems. I tried to start it 4 more times and each time it started and choked out when I put it in gear. Eventually, it stopped starting. Fuel Filter? Fuel Pump? Timing Belt?

Hi cutiesboy1, Welcome to 2carpros and TY for the donation

Do below and comeback with some results we start here

Get a helper disconnect a sparkplug wire or 2 and ground it to the engine atleast 3/16 away from ground-have helper crank engine over-do you have a snapping blue spark? If so-you have a fuel related problem, check the fuel pressure to rule out the fuel filter/fuel pump/pressure regulator and listen to the injector/s are they pulsing or hook up a noid light. No snapping blue spark continue to troubleshoot the ignition system-power input to the coil/coil packs, coil's resistances, distributor pick-up coil, ignition control module, cam and crank sensors and computer Note: If it doesn't apply disregard it
