When I got home the other day my coolent was leaking out from under my van. My husband has check the radiator, the radiator hose and neither are leaking. He says it is leaking from an area that the passenger side radiator hose goes into. He says it is a metal piece and it appears to have a hole or something. What could this be?

Hi:
Is it leaking from the radiator side or the water pump side? It sounds like the water pump.

Let me know.

It is on the left side of this photo just below the larger rubber hose.

Hi:
That is an easy one. The upper rad hose is attached to the thermostat housing. Either the hose is leaking where it attaches or the gasket on the housing is bad.

Let me know what you want to do.
