How to re-set the service engine soon light, van was serviced 2 weeks ago light popped back on mechanicly inclined just need to know how to re-set.

some say if you just leave it alone after a number of starts it will stop, couldn't prove it by me! if the light came back on there must be another or the same problem again. the only way to turn it off is to use a obd-2 scanner to clear the codes.
