I absent mindedly let the fuel tank get VERY low. I went to an unfamiliar gas station and bought half a tank of regular unleaded.
The car ran fine to my next destination, about 10 miles. Went I tried to restart the van, it started, sputtered, light back fire and died.
I had the car towed home. Since then I have changed the air filter and fuel filter. Checked the fuse and relays for the ASD & Fuel Pump. Car will almost start but sputters and makes "backfiring" (mildly) noises and dies.
There are no fuel leaks and never have been. Car was running fine prior to this issue.
I would be extremely grateful for any suggestions.
