1996 Plymouth Voyager Repair Question

1996 Plymouth Voyager (it won't reverse)
I had a flat tire and drove it to the shop to put new tire. Before I brought it to the shop, it reverse and drive forward. After the tire was fixed, now the van won't reverse at all and it makes that clicking noise. Can you tell what's is wrong with this picture??

Take the tire off and see what happened

I had AAA look at my van and they are telling me it's the tranny. But i haven't tried taking out the tire and putting it back in. they because the way the sound when you change the gear to r, it make noises and change to d or d2, it make noise as well. So, do you think this is my tranny that give up and that i have to get it fix??
