Hi there,

Start with having the system vacuumed down and check for any leaks. Start here.

Hi there,

This is done using the A/C standard manifold gauge set, it is attached to the hi & low ports on the A/C and a vacuum pump is connected. This is the standard way of evacuating a system and doing a leak test. If a leak is present the system wont hold a vacuum. To locate the leak the system is partly charged with refrigerant with a dye added. This dye will show up as a stain where the leak is located.
