Electrical problem
1991 Plymouth Voyager Front Wheel Drive Automatic 207,00 miles
While I am driving, soon after starting off, the check engine light will come on. If I drive it for about another 5 minutes, the battery gauge will cut down to 0. I took it in for a diagnostic and the mechanics said that my serpentine belt was probably slipping. I had that replaced today, but the problem occurred right after picking it up from the shop. I had the electrical system checked the first time I took it in, because I thought it might be an issue with the alternator, but the mechanics didn't seem to find anything wrong with it. Before I took it in for repair, the electrical failed and I had to pull off the road. The battery has been replaced since then and was checked before I took it in for the serpentine replacement.
