Transmission problem
1988 Plymouth Reliant 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I took my odometer out to look at a bulb and ever since my speedometer has quit working. I am on a tight budget and can't afford a repair shop so can you tell me what I need to check and where to check to see where the problem may be or will it be to time consuming and better off biting the bullet and taking it to a mechanic?

Im not to sure on those cars but when u removed the cluster did u remove the speed wire from it?Maybe u installed it wrong. Make sure and remove it again and chek it out. You must have not plugged it good or forgot to do it. Or is the speedometer electrical witch wont use wire but power. Speed sensor in trans? If it was working before you removed cluster you must have installed it wrong or something in that area that u moved. Good luck
