Car wont start sometimes

I have a 98 plymonth neon with 150000 miles with a single enigne and it wont start sometimes at least one every other day I took it to my local mechic and he wont do anyting unless he knows for sure what it is. Have any suggestions i'm desperate (you can even come and fix it if you want)

Let me try this

Okay is it just cranking over meaning the engine and refuses to start or when you turn key nothing, not a click -comeback with more details.
