Car cranks but won't start
I have a 1979 plymouth volare. Over 150,000 miles on it. 318 cid.
Initially had a starting problem due to no spark from distributor. Symptoms were-kept cranking but wouldn't catch. Replaced the distributor at repair shop and it ran fine for about 2 weeks, now it seems like it's doing the same thing. Cranks but won't catch. I'm about to blow this car up! Please assist. Thank you.

Replace the ceramic ballast resistor that's mounted on the firewall and always carry a spare with you. You probably have the single ballast resistor (as opposed to the dual).

Also, do you have the Lean Burn system on your engine? Those are notorious for causing issues.
