I recently purchased a non running 92 Laser. I was told that the previous owner was going down the interstate and saw that it was getting hot, thought she could make it home before it overheated. Then the oil pressure dropped to zero, so she pulled over and shut it off. That is when she had it towed to where I bought it from.
I have checked for spark and made sure it is getting fuel. I checked the timing belt and it has not jumped time and also looks like a newer belt (no wear and not streched.)
it has the 1.8 Liter.
Any other helpful tips would be greatly appeciated.

Hi:

If it has fuel, spark and is in time, I think you need to check the compression. She may have warped the head / block. Keep in mind, you can have great spark and fuel but without compression, it wont run.

Let me know what happens
