My oldest son died in a car accident, he was only 21. Prior to his death he had taken out the tranny to replace the clutch assembly on his laser. He never had a chance to put it back together. I have since had a friend of his put it back together and it ran fine for a couple of weeks, then you could not put reverse into gear while the car was running (it just grinds, with the car off it will go into reverse). 1st thru 5th gear work fine. Also, a noise started to occur when you engage the clutch. (It sounds like something banging on a piece of tin). Reversed stopped working before the clutch noise started, so I don't thing they are related. Is there an adjustment that needs to be made? We did bleed it out. We have given the car to our youngest son who is anxious to get it up and running. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.
