Is it safe to fill my 1968 Barracuda (with the original 318 v8) with gas with ethanol???
Should I be using additives? Lead additive? High octane gas?? Please advise.

Hi:
great car! It makes me miss my 68 Super Bee. Today's fuel wasn't designed for a 68, so I do recommend using a lead additive. It will help protect the valves. Other than that, you should be ok.

You have a purdy Baccaruda there, and Jacobandnickolas gave you the right answer.

318's came in 'em for the first time in '68, so I believe you when you say you have a '68, but I was wondering why the '69 front end? Couldn't find a '68?

My '68 fastback's motor was rebuilt in '85, when "regular" was still available, so now I use a lead additive with Premium gasoline.

Wish my picture would have uploaded...
