1965 Plymouth Other Repair Question

1965 Other Plymouth Models ill not run
I had a problem with the starter relay, so I replaced it and the starter for good measure. now it will start but will not run, unless the key is held in the start position. I recall having a similar problem with a "69"
Baracuda but can't rtemeber the fix. Any help would be great.

Check the ballast resistor on firewall. White ceramic four terms. Check contenuity on both resistors.One starts the other is for run. Common item to crap out carry spare
