My car is shakin and the belt squills when it changes into gears and when I go to stop it squills and shakes even more what could it be

Hi, you may just need a new belt, the belt is probably slipping because its old and cracked, and is not gripping the pulley to turn them as needed and thus the car trembles or acts like it wants to conk off, or sputter. Try changing the belt first and then get back to me
