Electrical problem
1988 Plymouth Horizon 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 108K miles

I was driving home from work and the car just quit. Pulled to the side road, noticed just a little smoke come out of the vent (didn't think much of it), and tried to start her up again without any luck. It wouldn't jumpstart either. Fluids are fine, just had oil change, trans service, new spark plugs- was running fine. Headlights and interior lights work, but no dash lights. Won't even crank. Took battery and had it checked- it was fine. Replaced battery terminals and cleaned battery posts, but still no luck.
Any ideas fellas??
