1997 Plymouth Breeze 4 cyl Automatic 150000 miles

My plymouth breeze just recently stopped working, maybe four days ago. We checked the battery, which was really corroded, so we went and bought a new battery for it. After switching out the battery, we've tried to start the car again, but it still wont start. I need some suggestions on what I should check, or do, so I can get my car started up again. It's in pretty good condition, and has been fairly reliable, im just not sure what to do, and I need some help. Any thoughts?

When you say it wont start, does it attempt to start, just not turn over?

Does it not crank at all, and no reponse when the key is turned?

Do you hear a clicking noise?

When I turn the key in my ignition, the air conditioning and radio turn on, but the engine itself will make no sound, it wont turn over, it wont attempt to start, no cranking, nothing responds in the engine. No clicking noise, either.

If you put direct 12v to the starter does it move?

Will it crank if the vehicle is placed in neutral instead of park?

No I dont mean jumpstart it, I mean put direct 12v to the starter connections or try jumping the starter relay with a screwdriver to see if it starts, starter is located where the engine and tranny mean, on the flywheel.

Thank you so much! Sorry I didnt reply to you earlier. The car is running fine. We just had to take it to the shop, it was around 270 dollars, but yeah, it was the starter.
