I believe the electric cooling fan on my engine is not coming on when the radiator gets hot. The car will overheat quickly in hot weather in slow moving city traffic. Slower to overheat in cooler temps or faster highway traffic. If I use the air cond or defrost - the car does overheat. Is there a relay that activates the electric fan and where is it located.

The fan relay is in the power distribution center under the hood.

Here is a test. Run power from the battery to the fan motor to see if it runs. If it doesn't, the motor is bad. If it does, then you need to check the relay and the temp sensor.

Let me know what you find.
