Transmission problem
1993 Plymouth Acclaim 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

dos the trans have to be in the car and hooked to the electricel plugs to engage in park. had problems with the tranny took it out can not find anything wrong with it . the shifter lever is in park but the axel still turns freely

When it's in park, you can turn one axle and the other one will turn the other direction. When both tires are on dry pavement, the car won't move because the tires are prevented from turning the same way.

If you only jack one tire off the ground, you won't be able to turn it when the other one can't turn.
