Hello, with the high mileage your car may need sealing of the engine. It is usually an oil control ring problem which causes too much oil smoke all the time but a stuck pcv valve could also cause excessive crankcase vapors. If you replace the piston rings be sure and do the valve stem seals also. It's a good idea to have the engine's compression tested before attempting any overhaul. And check the fault codes also, they can be tested using Chrysler's DRBIII or DRBII, and a good generic scanner will help you retrieve any codes as if you have the overdrive transmission there may be a problem with that also.
