My peugeot when running in idle makes up and down noises, a bit like reving on its own. When i drive this goes away and if i turn off the engine and start it back up shortly afterwards the problem has gone. It seems to only happen when the car has not run for over an hour or so.
Also i have noticed that when in gear sometimes when i take my feet off all peddles the car is still trying to pull itself along
